The topic list of a long chat loads much faster
For everyone who works with an AI employee
Part of Split a chat with your AI employee into topics, one per task
In our tests, the topic list of a very long chat now loads about five times faster, and you see the topic limit before you reach it.
Early access: switched on for selected companies.
Why it matters
When one AI employee handles many tasks for you, its chat grows long. Topics stay usable at that size: the topic list loads quickly, unread counts catch up, and you can see how many topics you have left.
- Before
- In a very long chat with many topics, the topic list could take several seconds to load, and the topic limit showed only after adding a topic failed.
- Now
- In our tests the topic list loads about five times faster, and you see how many of your 100 topics you have used before you add one.
What you get
- About five times faster in our tests: in a test chat with 200,000 messages and 100 topics, the topic list loaded in 1.4 seconds instead of 7.5. The chat's main tab loaded in a fraction of a second instead of over two seconds.
- Counts that keep up: in our tests, unread counts for many chats with many topics loaded more than ten times faster, and a change now refreshes only the topics it touches.
- Counts that catch up: if a refresh fails, for example on a weak phone connection, the next one reloads every topic, so a count does not stay wrong.
- The limit, up front: each chat holds up to 100 topics. You see how many you have used, for example 37 of 100, and at 100 you learn that removing a topic frees a place, while closing one does not.
- Clear limit messages: when a topic cannot be added, the message names the limit you reached: 100 topics in a chat, or 20 topics on one message.
- Find a topic quickly: from eight topics on, the list of all topics and the screen for moving messages get a search field. On a computer, topic menus also work from the keyboard: type to find, arrow keys, Home and End.
How to use it
Nothing to switch on: it applies to every chat that has topics. Early access: switched on for selected companies.
Part of: Split a chat with your AI employee into topics, one per task
In early access, split a chat with your AI employee into topics, like threads, so several tasks move side by side and answers focus on their own subject.
