Answers that fit your phone and your local time
For everyone who works with an AI employee
Part of Chat with your AI employees on your phone and tablet
Your AI employee now plans with your local date, time and time zone. When you type on a phone, it aims to put the answer first and keep it shorter.
Why it matters
When you say today, tonight or tomorrow, your AI employee means your day, wherever you are. On a phone, answers are meant to show the point you need first, so a quick look is often enough.
- Before
- Your AI employee could ask you what time it was or call this morning's message yesterday, and answers on a phone ran long, with the key point buried.
- Now
- Your AI employee plans with your local time, and for a message you type on a phone it aims for a shorter answer that leads with what matters.
What you get
- Your local time: each message you send carries your time zone, so your AI employee knows your local date, time and day of the week, and it follows you when you travel.
- A sensible fallback: if your device does not share a time zone, your AI employee uses the one set for it or for your company.
- Earlier messages in your time: it reads the earlier messages of your chat with the local time each one was sent, so this morning stays this morning.
- Shorter on a phone: for a message you type on a phone, it aims to put urgent items and the answer in the first lines, skip the greeting and keep to about one screen.
- Tables you can scroll: a wide table scrolls sideways inside its message, so every column stays within reach on a small screen.
- Nothing runs off the screen: long links, long words and code stay inside the message, so the chat never slides sideways, on a computer too.
How to use it
Nothing to switch on: it works in every chat with your AI employee. Shorter answers apply when you type on a phone; tablets and computers keep the full style.
