Answers on your own Claude or ChatGPT plan do not count as VEP usage
For business owners
Part of Use your own Claude or ChatGPT plan with your AI employees
Connected your own Claude or ChatGPT account? Then the answers that run on it are paid by your own plan and do not count as VEP usage.
Why it matters
Your AI employees on your own plan keep answering without using up your VEP plan. The usage panel shows only what VEP pays for, so you can trust the number.
- Before
- Answers paid by your own Claude plan still counted as VEP usage, so the usage panel could show a plan far over its limit.
- Now
- Only answers that VEP pays for count as VEP usage, and the usage panel shows exactly that number.
What you get
- Your own plan pays: answers on a Claude or ChatGPT account connected for your company or for one AI employee do not count as VEP usage.
- Counted where it is paid: an answer on your own account is paid by your plan, and only an answer VEP pays for is VEP usage. Answers from a computer your company owns count as your own too.
- A usage panel you can trust: the usage panel counts only VEP usage, so its total and percentage show how much of your VEP plan is really used.
- Small plans can answer: on the free plan, or without a subscription, an answer that VEP pays for starts as long as your VEP plan has some room left, rather than being turned away before it begins.
How to use it
Nothing to switch on: it applies to every answer on a Claude or ChatGPT account connected in your company, and the usage panel shows it.
