Setup guide for your own hardware matches what you see
For admins
Part of Run an AI employee on your own hardware
The setup guide now names the buttons you actually see, and in the first setup steps in VEP every copy box copies its command in one click.
Why it matters
Admins who connect a computer for the first time can follow the guide step by step. Nobody has to look for a button that does not exist or copy long commands by hand.
- Before
- The guide named a button that did not exist, and the copy boxes in the first setup steps copied nothing, so commands had to be copied by hand.
- Now
- The setup guide names each real button, and the setup steps in VEP show both install commands on separate lines and copy each in one click.
What you get
- The real buttons, in order: the guide takes you from adding the page for your computers to adding a new computer, then to picking the AI employee and the AI it uses.
- On a phone too: the guide says where to find your computers when you use VEP on a phone, and that the code on a new computer's card works for 10 minutes.
- Commands you can copy: in the setup steps in VEP, the install step shows its two commands on separate lines, and every copy box copies its text in one click.
- What the move means: the guide explains that the AI employee's knowledge, files and private data stay in VEP's cloud, and that it does not answer while your computer is offline.
- Who to ask: if an AI employee you moved does not answer while your computer is online, the guide tells you to ask VEP Support.
How to use it
Open the setup guide from the link below, or follow the setup steps in VEP when your company connects its first computer.
Part of: Run an AI employee on your own hardware
In early access, admins can move an AI employee onto a computer your company owns, so it answers with an AI installed there. Its knowledge stays in VEP.
